Reflective practice group for trauma-informed professionals
Autumn 2026
Working with trauma can be deeply meaningful—but it can also leave a lasting imprint. This small, closed reflective practice group offers a supportive space for psychotherapists, counsellors, charity workers, and others in helping roles to process the emotional impact of their work.
Across four guided sessions, we will use structured reflective writing exercises to explore and make sense of vicarious trauma. Through writing, quiet reflection, and optional sharing, participants will have the opportunity to deepen self-awareness, reconnect with their professional resilience, and feel less alone in the challenges of trauma work.
This is a confidential, closed group, allowing trust and continuity to build over time. No prior writing experience is needed—only a willingness to pause, reflect, and engage.
The group will be facilitated by Helen Gilbert, an experienced psychotherapist, supervisor, and reflective writing group facilitator. Helen brings a thoughtful, grounded approach, creating a space that is both containing and gently exploratory.
