Placement Opportunity
We are currently recruiting therapists in training to join us on a voluntary in-person student placement.
About us
Hastings Therapy Centre (HTC) is part of registered charity Brighton Therapy Centre (BTC). We are a mental health charity providing both mainstream and low and no-cost counselling and psychotherapy in Brighton and Hastings, with the objective of making high-quality mental health support accessible to everyone. We opened in Brighton in 2012, and in Hastings in 2023 where we are still growing.
We operate a community model whereby our standard fee services cover our running costs so that any surplus generated, combined with external grant fundraising, goes directly towards providing low and no-cost therapy to those who otherwise cannot access the mental health support they need. Our small team of trainees on placement are a valuable part of this model by volunteering their time to deliver low-cost therapy throughout their training.

Interviews will take place in December with a view to starting placement in January 2027 or as agreed based on mutual availability.
