Therapy Centre Manager
Job Title: Therapy Centre Manager (TCM)
Location: Brighton or Hastings (with flexibility for some remote working)
Hours of Work: 18.75 to 37.5 hours per week. Negotiable.
Salary: £33,000 to £39,000 depending on experience
Professional Registration: UKCP / BPC / BACP / BPS / HCPC

The role
We are looking for highly skilled therapists to join our management team at an exciting time of growth for our organisation. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, we would love to hear from you.
You will be working alongside a clinical team, managing a safe, professional and accessible therapy service, whilst contributing to the development and execution of BTC/HTC’s strategic and charitable aims.
The role will combine an income-generating clinical practice with management responsibilities, such as the appropriate allocation of referrals, risk management and safeguarding. Read the attached job description and person specification for further details.
About Hastings Therapy Centre
Hastings Therapy Centre is part of Brighton Therapy Centre - a growing mental health charity with the aim of making high-quality therapy and counselling accessible to all. We are committed to meeting the needs of underrepresented or difficult-to-reach groups who find it harder to access therapeutic services. We were founded in 2012, and in 2023 we opened our second location - Hastings Therapy Centre.
As a registered charity, we use any surplus generated from our mainstream work and fundraising activities to subsidise low-cost therapy for individuals who otherwise cannot afford the help they need. We are joined in this by our experienced team of practitioners, who commit 25% of their time to low-cost work.
BTC/HTC are mixed practices that welcome practitioners with a range of trainings and modalities, including psychodynamic, humanistic, integrative and psychoanalytic, as well as approaches such as CAT, CBT and EMDR. We offer free in-house continuing professional development such as a monthly reading group, BLM discussion group, reflective practice groups, and a quarterly practitioner’s meeting.

The Role
We are looking for two experienced professionals to join our existing Board of Trustees, who share collective responsibility for the organisation’s strategy and delivery. As a trustee, you will help oversee all BTC’s activities and ensure that it remains true to its purpose and mission. Each trustee is expected to use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the charity achieve its goals.
We are looking to recruit one trustee with relevant experience, and one trustee with extensive clinical experience, who will also be Chair of our Clinical Governance Group (CGG). See the attached role descriptions and person specifications for each of these positions.
