Ashlie Linfield

Humanistic Counsellor

I’m a Humanistic Counsellor who offers a warm, open, and respectful space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences safely and at your own pace. I believe that genuine understanding and acceptance are at the heart of meaningful change, and that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing when they feel truly heard.

Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked in education for over 20 years supporting young people and adults with autism and learning differences, which has given me valuable insight into the diverse ways people experience the world and communicate. This understanding continues to inform my counselling practice, particularly when working with neurodiverse clients, young people, and individuals with learning differences.

Finding a therapist you can trust is an important part of the journey. I aim to build a relationship based on honesty, empathy, and collaboration — a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgement. Together, we can explore your experiences, relationships, and the world around you.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also provide support for people navigating change, uncertainty, or feelings of hopelessness, helping you reconnect with your own sense of self, direction, and possibility.
